This research report describes undergraduate practice sessions of graphic journalism, carried out at the VI Graphics, Radio and Television Workshop (with graphics orientation) within the Social Communication Program at Universidad Nacional de La Matanza. The research is centered on the formation of students´ professional journalistic profile, as resulting from the practice at educational workshops, where the theoretical and practical knowledge incorporated in previous years is put into practice. Emphasis is placed on the behavior of each participant of the practice session, and on the competence future professionals must acquire in order to be socially acknowledged as such. Classroom production is also highlighted as an ideal environment for the application of theoretical knowledge.
