The reception of Analogical Hermeneutics in Argentina

Abstract

The purpose of this exhibition is to review the reception in Argentina, of the hermeneutic theory by Mexican philosopher Mauricio Beuchot. My personal contribution to the process of dissemination and research of his thoughts was carried out from my role as a teacher and researcher at the Philosophy, Humanities and Arts College of the National University of San Juan. Analogical Hermeneutics is a philosophical conception designed both out of and for the Ibero-American context. This paper provides in the first place, a brief overview of the main ideas concerning this theory and its fundamental philosophical roots. Secondly, a number of publications, academic and research activities are mentioned, showing the reception Hermeneutics has had in Argentina so far.
