Testifying photographs: exploration of accumulated images in the archive of the rural movement and the agrarian leagues

This article explores a collection of photographs that originated particularly in the formative instances of the Catholic Action Movement (1958-1972), preserved in the Archive of the Rural Movement and Agrarian Leagues. We intend to provide plausible interpretations of a photographic background accumulated in the immediacy of an organization in its making. We will then combine a historical contextualization, visual analysis and their intercrossing with other sources within the same file. To conclude, we will highlight the photographic effort to bear witness, as well as a promising mutation of objectives and the circulation of images.
