Politics in Aricó, del Barco and Laclau. Theory and critique in the Argentinean Post-Marxist debate of the eighties
Keywords:
Critique, theory, politics, crisis, practiceAbstract
In the present paper we will search into the ways in which different Argentinean Post-Marxism authors have reflected upon and tried to solve the classical dilemma between political theory and practice during the eighties, parting from the notion of critique. So, by analyzing the perspectives of Oscar del Barco, José Aricó and Ernesto Laclau, we observe that the critical theory for the present of Latin America inherits Marxist and Poststructuralist trends that come from semiotic and psychoanalytic theories. It also entails a concern for history, intellect and imagination.
