Abstract

The emergence of new technologies has brought about profound changes in mediatic scenarios that are nowadays characterized by their multiplicity of actors, media and languages. Therefore, digitization has had a significant impact on the way to access knowledge. The web 2.0 provided the appropriate setting for debate and repetition of traditional forms of the teaching-learning process.

In this context, the Chair of Introduction to Communication (IAC) of the Social Sciences College at the National University of Lomas de Zamora (UNLZ) implemented a virtual classroom in 2019, to expand the scope of face-to-face lessons and to promote new instances of learning. This project involved the development of a new bond between teachers and students, and the design of new pedagogical practices and assessment instruments. This study shows teachers and students' perception of this subject after their first experience of using these virtual environments.
