This paper describes some of the main results constructed after the development of an educational research in an grade subject at public university, in Cuyo, the center-west of Argentina, during the year 2021. The qualitative methodological design implemented as collection and processing techniques of data, documentary observation and the analysis of expressions of meaning, from the heuristic materials problematized in the evaluative records of the students. The research model sought to underline the epistemological and politically active role of the student body, as a fundamental agent in the circulation and disputes over historical knowledge, as well as the reflection on the practices of the teaching group in charge of coordinating the course. Some of the main conclusions interweave criticism towards the traditional notions of the writing of history and new proposals for the understanding of its archival, territorial and temporal inputs.
