Abstract

The objective of this article is to investigate existent research around the labor insertion of people with schizophrenia, carrying out a literature review that compiled a total of 40 articles. The results show a preponderance of studies from the discipline of psychiatry, with emphasis on systematic literature reviews, and where the places of origin of the studies correspond mostly to countries of the Global North (United States and Spain). In addition, most studies highlight stigma as a factor that hinders the labor insertion of people with schizophrenia (PDE), while awareness and supported employment are factors that facilitate social and labor integration. On the other hand, there are few investigations from Social Work, for which it is proposed to advance in investigations from this discipline, promoting the methodology of systematization of experiences to reflect on the social policies of labor inclusion in people with schizophrenia.
