Production of meaning in media discourse. Intergeneration relations in cases of violence at school

The article presents the media construction of intergenerational relationships in the discursive practices of violence in the school. This is a synchronous study that analyzes newspaper in Argentina (Clarín, La Nación, El Día y Hoy) and Brazil (O Globo y Folha) between 2011- 2013. The axis for analysis is the place of the adults in the hedges, which are the proposals for intervention mentioned in the stories and how they present children and youth. Among the results we note that prevailing modes of simplistic approach and uniforms which violence in the school as a product of a invasion of social violence, where adults are incompetent to intervene. It is also identified certain family configurations and marginal urban young people as individuals at risk of violence, where the operate adult is questioned.
