Abstract

Once the aims of an organization are established, it is relevant to examine the correlation between the results of its programs and its logical framework. This paper weighs the pros and cons of the “Health Education Program” monitoring and evaluation, carried out in Santiago del Estero by a NGO. This organization developed a tool for assessing the progress in parenting of mothers from low SES. We identified patterns with a semantic and statistical analysis based on the answers of the experimental and control group. After pairing up the samples, we found positive outcomes of the intervention. Nevertheless, considering the dropout rates of the mothers and that for the NGO it is relevant to evaluate its potential autonomously, we suggest that the questionnaire should be highly standardized and shortened so that one unit per month is tested. This would facilitate the processes of designing, collecting, codifying and correcting data.
