This text proposes to present lessons on the development of the applied research project of the Repositorio Digital de la Cultura Artística (ReDCA), of the Facultad de Artes of the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro under the framework of Digital Humanities. The lessons are integrated into four themes: digitization, management of digital objects, uses of digital objects and an outline of a philosophical theory of digital objects. Thus, after having stated what the Digital Humanities are and described what the ReDCA is and how it has been developed, the lessons will be discussed. The importance of doing so lies in the fact that, in addition to engaging with digitization technologies and innovating from there in the field of artistic preservation, it is already possible to think of a set of principles to guide the practice of digital repositories of objects, particularly artistic ones.
