Abstract

This article addresses the enforcement of body practices through public policies. The text analyzes documents that dwell upon the effects of body practices on people and groups. Then, the paper surveys the public programs that include body practices. Through the method of critical review, the authors conclude that it is necessary to produce more scientific knowledge on the issue in order to re-design the implementation of these policies.
