The article is part of the Giovanni Satori’s thesis in his Homo Videns about the effects of the massive media (specially, television) about the public opinion and the democratic societies if today. This author maintains that the audiovisual media produce an ideology effect and ride into “videocracy” and a public opinion manipulation, blocking the critical capacity of citizens from childhood, In this way, this paper reflects about media in their relation to the concepts of reality, information, objectivity and truth through an ethic perspective.
